ATTENDANCE :

Attendance is very important, so please call and let us know you will not be attending so that the class can proceed without you. Make-up classes are available for missed classes due to illness only. Out of respect for other students, please do not attend the class if you are sick. Call at least one day in advance to reschedule for make-up classes.

MAKE-UP CLASSES:

Make-up classes are available for classes missed due to illness only. Personal events are not eligible for make-up classes. One (1) make-up class will be offered on the last Friday of each month at the normal class time (other times may be available during the summer). It is the responsibility of the student and or their parent to ensure that a make-up class is scheduled and attended. No refunds will be made if the student fails to schedule or attend the make-up class. If the scheduled make-up class is missed, no additional make up classes will be scheduled for that absence.

BEHAVIOR:

It is expected that behavior will be appropriate and acceptable during class and at any other events sponsored by “Just SEW You Know”. If a behavior problem occurs with a student, the parent will be notified. If bad behavior continues and cannot be resolved, the student will be asked to withdraw from the class. No refunds of tuition OR fees will be made if a student is asked to withdraw.

STUDENT DROP OFF TIME:

Drop off time for a class may not be any earlier than 5 minutes before the scheduled class beginning times. There is no waiting area, and dropping off a student earlier than this will be disruptive to on-going classes, or any preparatory work we may be doing for the class.

AUTHORIZED PICK UP:

For the safety of your child, only the parent or guardian who signed for the student to register for classes will be allowed to pick-up a student. If someone else needs to pick up a student, the Parent or Guardian must submit a permission slip in ADVANCE of the day of the class. At any time, if someone other than the Parent or Guardian who registered the student with us attempts to pick up the student without a permission slip, we will not allow the child to leave, and a call will be placed to the Parent or Guardian to notify them of the situation. In the event of an emergency, the parent or guardian may call during class and leave the name of the person who will be picking up the student. This person will be required to show proof of identity.

STUDENTS MEASUREMENTS:

The student will be taught to properly measure her body, in order to be able to select the size of pattern that will best fit them, and to purchase the proper amount of fabric and accessories to complete their projects. If you have questions concerning this, please see or call Karen Krug in advance at 770-441-3209.

VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL FROM SEWING SCHOOL:

If a student voluntarily withdraws from our sewing class, a written notice is required before the 1st class of the month in order to avoid billing for that month's tuition. There will be no refunds or prorating for unused sewing lessons.

COMMUNICATING WITH THE SEWING SCHOOL:

We will provide information about sewing supplies, student progress, and other information via notes and letters. It is the responsibility of the student and/or parent to read these communications and ask any questions that they have about their content.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR NEW STUDENTS:

Some children ages 6?7 are not ready to learn to sew. They may not be able to sit and concentrate for the entire class time. Then they become disruptive to other students. Learning to sew safely is very important. If you know that your child has a short attention span, is hyper-active or has behavior issues, they may not be ready to learn to sew.

CLASS DEPOSITS & TUITION:

A class deposit of $35. is required to secure a class seat.

Tuition is due the first week of class and at the beginning of every month thereafter.
